Shipton Wildflower Woods - Terms of use

Welcome

Shipton Wilflower Woods is a community-run green space, open and free for everyone to enjoy. These simple guidelines help us keep the woods safe, peaceful, and looked after for all.

Who we are

The woods are maintained by local volunteers who care about nature, community, and giving people access to quiet, wild spaces.

Visiting the woods

Everyone is welcome. While you’re here, please:

• Stay on the paths when you can
• Leave plants, fungi and wildlife as you find them
• Take any litter home
• Keep dogs under control and clean up after them
• Respect other visitors and keep noise low

Volunteer days

We hold regular volunteer days where people come together to help care for the woods — anything from path clearing to wildlife surveys. Details are shared on our website and social media. All are welcome, and no experience is needed.

Drones

Drones may be flown with prior permission. Please contact us first so we can make sure it’s safe and respectful to other visitors and wildlife.

Safety

The woods are natural and wild. Paths can be muddy, uneven or slippery. Trees can drop branches. Please take care and be responsible for your own safety and belongings. We can’t accept liability for accidents, injury, or loss unless something has clearly gone wrong on our part.

Using the website

Our website is here to share information and updates. You’re welcome to read, share and link to anything here. Please don’t copy or reuse content without asking first.

Respect the space

This woodland is shared by everyone. If you spot anything that needs attention, like fallen trees, broken fences, or misuse, we’d really appreciate it if you let us know.
